THE AGONY SCENE Pulls Out Of HIMSA Tour

January 28, 2008

The management of Seattle-based metal outfit HIMSA has issued the following statement regarding the band's "Summon In Thunder" European tour:

"It is with regret we have to announce that THE AGONY SCENE will not be taking part in the upcoming HIMSA 'Summon in Thunder' European Tour. Members of the band are dealing with some major personal situations that make performing on this tour impossible. A LIFE ONCE LOST (Ferret Records) will assume main support position on this tour. We wish THE AGONY SCENE the best of luck in resolving these issues."

HIMSA's new offering, "Summon In Thunder", is being hailed by critics and fans as the band's career-defining opus. Steve Carter (who produced the band's second album, "Courting Tragedy And Disaster") produced the music while Devin Townsend (LAMB OF GOD, DARKEST HOUR) produced vocals and the renowned Tue Madsen (THE HAUNTED) brought it all together, nailing the mixing and mastering duties.

"Summon In Thunder" marks the return of original guitarist Sammi Curr to the fold.
